Awana Clubs – a mid-week ministry to children in both the congregation and community, offered to any child without regard to race or ethnicity. The club program helps girls and boys build healthy relationships with caring Christian adults, with their peers, and most importantly, with Jesus Christ.
Children as young as age 2, and including young people through grade 5, our clubs are Christ-centered, Bible-based, kid-focused and flexible.
Activities includes a large group devotional time with singing, a short illustrated lesson, reciting of pledges and prayer. Following the devotional activity, kids break into small groups for age-appropriate Bible study & related fun activities, crafts, games and refreshments. Each club meeting helps children apply the Bible to their lives, and gives them a place to belong and experience God’s love.
Youth Ministries - The Youth Group meets Wednesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:00 PM, in the fellowship area on the lower floor, for youth in 6th grade and up! The activity may include a Bible lesson geared to teen issues at school, or at home--personal and relational concerns--a craft or game, music or a film, and food--ALWAYS FOOD! And this is a place for meeting with friends, AND building relationships! We welcome everyone regardless of gender or race! We welcome your interest and participation. Your friends are always welcome too!
Sunday School – a Sunday morning Christian education opportunity for children to learn about Jesus and hear the timeless stories from the Bible. There are opportunities for girls and boys to interact with each other and with caring Christian adults — learning together to read the Bible and to understand God’s ways. Each child is valued, and each one learns that our lives are planned by God!
Children’s Corner – a short segment in the worship services when the pastor or an appointed adult children’s worker gathers the boys and girls together in the chancel for a brief talk on a child's level, or for a short illustrated lesson.
Junior Church – time out of the sanctuary for the children to learn more about God on their own level, and within the framework of their ability and interest. While no specific age is defined, this program includes children, generally, from kindergarten to grade 4.
Vacation Bible School – a summertime, fun-filled week of Bible-related learning opportunities, including stories, drama, music, crafts and games—and ALWAYS, refreshments! This program usually includes kids of ALL ages with their parents—something for the whole family in a leisure, but Christian, environment.
Summer Camps – a 5-day, out-of-town getaway for elementary-aged children, in a safe out-door setting. Children are housed in cottages in small groups of 4 to 6 children, with carefully screened senior teen and adult counselors. The program is similar to VBS—Bible-centered, interactive and full of a rich variety of activities for learning and growing in Christ.
