Our Church, Our Ministries, Our Family
Sunday School – a Sunday morning Christian education opportunity for children to learn about Jesus and hear the timeless stories from the Bible. There are opportunities for girls and boys to interact with each other and with caring Christian adults — learning together to read the Bible and to understand God’s ways. Each child is valued, and each one learns that our lives are planned by God!

Children’s Corner – a short segment in the worship services when the pastor or an appointed adult children’s worker gathers the boys and girls together in the chancel for a brief talk on a child's level, or for a short illustrated lesson.

Junior Church – time out of the sanctuary for the children to learn more about God on their own level, and within the framework of their ability and interest. While no specific age is defined, this program includes children, generally, from kindergarten to grade 4.

Vacation Bible School – a summertime, fun-filled week of Bible-related learning opportunities, including stories, drama, music, crafts and games—and ALWAYS, refreshments! This program usually includes kids of ALL ages with their parents—something for the whole family in a leisure, but Christian, environment.

Wesleyan Church of the Cross  provides many ways for you to "get connected" with fellow members to form meaningful, lasting relationships and receive the personal encouragement, support, and prayers that every believer needs. Here's how you can get connected.

Serving with others is one of the best ways to get involved, get to know people and build valuable relationships. You alone have unique talents and special gifts to share. We need you and your gifts to grow!!! Your involvement will impact you and the lives of those around you

Listed below are some our volunteer ministry opportunities. Please message us or contact Cheryl Sipe at 717-243-5145.

Bible Study - Groups are all about prayer, study of God's Word, friendship and encouragement! In a Bible Study Group you can take a break from the busy demands of life and invest in what is really important: your relationship with God and your relationship with the people around you.

Greeters The Greeter's Ministry provides a warm welcome to all members and visitors before each worship service and Church of the Cross events. Greeters are stationed in lobby and at sanctuary entrances to meet worshippers as we enter His sanctuary.

Music Ministry - Organ, piano, worship leaders and musicians are always used in our services.

Tech Ministry - Assist with our online presence and worship experience at Church of the Cross.

Usher's Ministry  - The Usher's Ministry is responsible for helping to provide a welcoming and orderly environment during the worship services. Ushers assist with seating, receiving offerings, serving Communion, and responding to emergencies.

Transportation  - Transportation Ministry volunteers provide transportation to and from Church of the Cross to worship services for children, youth, senior adults, and anyone who may not be able to drive for a medical condition
